  		Jalmar Lexford Anderson and Florence Sophie Weed Anderson This is in front of Grandmother Ivy Weed's home at 110 Gilbert Street in Syracuse, New York. The house behind them with the open porch belonged to grandmother's sister, Edna Huxtable.

It was a big deal when the mantle clock (above the fire place) was bought because it was an item of expense and quality. It had the traditional Westminster chime.
  		Florence Sophie Weed Anderson at Their New Home Around 1954 the Anderson family moved from Syracuse, New York, to Arden Road in Cabin John, Maryland. It was an incredible area for the children to grow up with it's Tom Sawyer/Huck Finn surroundings.

The family tradition was that the children would go to bed and when they awoke Christmas morning, the tree would be up and decorated with presents (and the train) surrounding it. Florence and her husband and Grandpa would stay up late and get everything completed to surprise the children when they woke up.
