1865 Pension File of Francis Vecqueray: Petition of Widow

Adeline Vecqueray, age 44, resident of Wawarsing, appeared before the court. She was the widow Francis Vecqueray who was killed on 24 Oct 1864 in his tent by a shell explosion in Petersburgh, VA. She married Francis on 8 Sep 1843 and has not remarried since his death. Francis left 4 children under 16 years of age: Mary (b. 19 Nov 1851), Christiana (b. 4 Dec 1853), Adeline (b. 2 May 1856), and William (b. 8 Nov 1860).
