1782 Revolutionary War Claims for Emanuel and Abram Lay
13 May 1782, Loudoun County, Virginia
Emanuel Lay is allowed for 1 yellow bay mare 25 pounds.
Abram Lay is allowed for a waggon & lock chain & four horses and a pail 24 pounds, 13 shillings and for a sorrel horse 9 pounds and grey mare 20 pounds the above as listed impressed to [] the detachment & never recovered.
Note: Emanuel and Abram were reimbursed by the county court of Loudoun Co, VA for supplies they contributed to the war effort.
