1891 Marriage Bond of George K. Beck

Louisville, Jefferson, Kentucky, United States

Be it known the we Geo. K. Beck as principal, and Katharina Lauffer as surety,
are jointly and severally bound to the Commonwealth of Kentucky in the sum of One Hundred Dollars.

The condition of the Bond is as follows:
That, whereas Marriage is intended to be solemnized between the above bound Geo. K. Beck and
Katie F. Ruckaberle (by consent of her aunt & custodian, her only relative in this country)

Dated at Louisville, Jefferson County, this 8th day of June, 1891.

-Katharina Lauffer, the surety on this bond, appears to be the daughter of John Laufer and Barbara Baelz.
-Barbara (Baelz) Laufer is likely the Aunt that is giving consent for the marriage of Katie Ruckaberle.
-Katie Ruckaberle's mother was Charlotte Friederika Baelz.
-Charlotte Friederika Baelz and Barbara Baelz are probably sisters (more research needed)

-John Laufer is a witness to George & Katharina's actual marriage performed the next day.
