1796 Apprentice Record for Mark Alloway
16 January 1796, Bristol, Gloucestershire
Mark Alloway son of Samuel Alloway of Minehead, Staymaker, puts to Michael Mogg, Sadler, and Ann his wife for 7 years [Friends?] to find apparell and washing.
Note: "Friends" likely refers to the Society of Friends (Quakers). The masters usually provided supplies for their apprentice; however, in this apprenticeship, the Society of Friends would provide the supplies. The Alloway family were Quakers.
