Moore County, North Carolina

James Muse sold 200 acres to Dr. Morrison in 1774. On this land and an adjoining tract of 300 acres that he built eight new houses. It was here that the "Tories first rendezvoused before marching to Cross Creek." James Muse was a Tory.
