Earl of Granville grants to Joseph Taylor:
652 Acres "on the North side Conato Swamp opposite Benjamin Lewis settlement and along the said Swamp"

Adjacent land owners: Gainer, Crisp, Barden, Hollond
Chain Carriers: Richard Taylor, John Hines

note: Chain carriers were part of a Land Surveyor's crew and dealt with the chains used to measure distance. The prospective land owner acted as pilot for the surveyor and was responsible for hiring and paying the chain carriers.
