The West Parish Meetinghouse, Founded by Rev. John Lothrop in 1639
As one of the churches on the list of Colonial Meetinghouses of New England, this famous church still stands today in Barnstable, Massachusetts. The half-ton bell that continues to summon Congregationalists to worship was built in 1806 by Paul Revere & Son in Boston.
