The whole family sacrificed a lot for Ola to serve a mission. This history was taken from a family group sheet that had this note on it. It is unknown which family member wrote it.
On a family group sheet, with source given as family record books and histories, is the following note: "Grandpa Ola N. Liljenquist and his first wife were called on a mission. She wouldn't leave her children. He left alone and then sent for his second wife, Anna Petrina Larsena Wilson Liljenquist to join him. She left her son Charles at home with his first wife and took Waldemar with her. Zina was born in the mission field."
This would have been the second mission to Scandinavia. When O.N. Liljenquist was 16th president of the mission. He left Utah the 5th of May 1867.
At this time his first wife had four children at home: Theodore (18), Clara (14), Oscar (12), Harold (10). The second son had died in Denmark, and her last child, Anna Christina, 10 months old when her father left on his first mission, died before he returned home. She was 23 months old.
