AMES? The funeral for Lyle M. Leeper, 57, of rural Ames will be 10 a.m. Monday at Ludvigsen mortuary in Fremont.
He was born Jun 20, 1925, at Casey, Iowa., where he lived until age 12, when he moved to Fremont. He was employed with NuWay Manufacturing, Hartford Sand & Gravel, Bowman's Hydrovac, Layton Shabram Plumbing and Heating, the City of Hooper, and Steenblock Erectors.
Leeper married Florence Stonehocker July 5, 1952, in Ioew. She died aug. 11, 1961. He married Pearl Stonehocker March 16, 1962, in Fremont. She survives.
Other survivors include four sons, Bill and Ronnie, both of Chanute, Kan., Roy and Jim, both of Adair, Iowa; six daughter, Darlen Stover of Saugas, Calif., Marily Hart of Lancaster, Calif., Diane Culp of Chanute, Kan., Mary Lynch of Schuyler, Janet Bendig of fremont and Jacie Hana of Richland; three brother, Leland of Albuquerque, N.M., Louie of Casey, Iowa, and Leonard of Franklin, Ind.; four sister, Lettie Barnes of Guthrie Center, Iowa, Lottie Kinney of Casey, Iowa, Lorraine Anschut of Anita, Iowa, and Lena Madison of Indianola, Iowa; 18 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by five brother. (parents, Lee and Laura Leeper)
Capt. Ray Tuttle will officiate Monday's service. Visitation will be 2-9 p.m. Sunday at Ludvigsen Mortuary. A gravside service will be 3 p.m. Monday at Morrisburg Cemetery near Stuart, Iowa.
