Victor Wagner, son of Mrs. William Wagner, of 227 East Dunklin Street died at Independence, Kan., at 5 o'clock this morning of Influenza and its complications. Victor Wagner was born and reared in Jefferson City and lived here until a few years ago when he went to Independence, Kansas, to go into the picture business. His business was a success from its inception, and at the time of his death, he was conducting four pictur houses in Independence.
Mr. Wagner was stricken with Influenza about a week ago and a letter received here this morning stated that he was doing nicely and would soon be out of danger. He evidently took a turn for the worse last night and this morning he passed quietly away. He is a son of Mrs. W W Wagner, a brother to George Wagner, chairman of the Republican county committee and to Mrs F. C. Binder of New York, Miss Stella of this city and Mrs. Keith McCance of Chicago. The funeral will take place at Indepence where he made a host of friends.
He and his wife were both quite popular there. He is also survived by his widow, who was Miss Kate Tihen of this city and a son, William, who is in the US Navy. Victor was a man of about 42 years of age and of splendid character. He led an examplar life and was well like both here and in his home in Kansas. His death will be mourned by a legion of friends, who extend sympathy to the bereaved family.
