Upon the petition of Rebecca Gavit widow and ... of Richmond Gavit, dec'd, setting forth that Thankful Gavit, a minor child of the said Richmund Gavit dec'd, under the age of 14 yrs, has no person legally qualified to take charge of her person & estate & your petitioner therefore prays your honors to appoint some suitable person for said purpose. Whereupon the courts do appoint Alonson W Main guardian of the said minor child & do order & direct that he file bonds in the sum of $200 witgh sufficient security ... as the law directs...
