See: https://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=60898993&ref=acom Cook County Herald (Arlington Heights, Illinois 15 April 1921, Friday, Page 8 "Prof. Andrew C. Zenos, D.D. of McCormick Seminary Speaks at the Presbyterian Church - It had been seven years sine the Rev. Zenos spoke at the Presbyterian church, here. To his old friends his visit last Sunday was most welcome. He preached both morning and evening and his sermons were always evolved from deep thot and sure to make men think. His evening sermon was on the subject o the Brotherhood of Man and should have been heard by a larger audience. Indeed, one can but wonder where the young and even older men of our village betake themselves, when such a man as Dr. Zenos comes to speak to us. A man well admitted to be on of the finest scholars and deepest thinkers of our day: born in Athens, educated in Roberts College, Constantinople, he came to America at the age of 22 and after some tine at Lake Forest, entered Princeton, from there was graduated and in 1891, came to McCormick Seminary, where he was held the chairs of Grek, Hebrew, History, and other classics. Like Paul, Dr. Zenos has always had a care over all the churches and has come often to this church in Arlington Heights - in times of change or stress. He has been associated in the Presbytery with Rev. Jenkinson for many years. It was fine of our pastor to give us the opportunity of hearing him once more. And I am sure many heartily appreciate the privilege. | ||
