Nancy Elizabeth Adeline Clem, the daughter of Nancy Elizabeth and Meshack Smith, was born 19 April 1854 near Scottsville, died at home of daughter Mrs William F Johannaber of Omaha NE. Brothers and sister, John, William, Alonzo,
Dee and Rebecca Smith preceded her in death. Married Willie Asby Clem 15 Feb 1880 in Scottsville. He died 25 May 1934. On farm southwest of Reger for 32 years. In 1912 moved to Trenton MO. Then to Omaha with daughter Etha Johannaber who survives with son Earl of Chicago. Services held in Trenton.

The second marriage in Linn County, Missouri, alluded to in the account of John Wain Minnis was that of Elizabeth Adaline Minnis to Meshack Smith, son of Meshack and Rebecca (Hardy) Smith. The wedding took place at the home of Capt. Minnis. The wedding service was conducted by Wm F Gibson, JP, Feb 12 1839.
