1886 HIST: Obit for Eva: "MINN to Spokane WA August 1886 with parents and 2-yr old sister, Ethel, arriving in Cheney early September by rail in time for them to see great Cheney fire of 1886. Her family later located southeast of the city, and it was on that homestead that 2 younger sisters, Ina and Eunice were born."

1904 HIST: Obit continued: "She attended school in Cheney and was a 1904 graduate of the Cheney Normal School, serving as editor of the Normal School paper and writing school news for the local newspaper. She taught schoo before marrying ... in 1906."
1906 MARRIAGE #1: Eva md George Ballinger in 1906. The couple traveled by boat up the St. Joe River to St. Mary's, Idaho, and then by stage coach to their mountain home. The couple was divorced in 1913 and she returned to school, attending Spokane Secretarial School and worked for an Insurance Company."

Private cremation at Hazen and Jaeger Funeral Home. "Survived by a niece, Helen B Boots of Cheney and a nephew, John M Babb, Route 3, Cheney."
