1871 LAND: MO,Sullivan Co: Emmett Thurlo: A deed dated 21 Jan 1871 shows David and Araminta of Livingston Co selling 2 parcels of land in Sull Co, consisting of 20 and 160 acres, to Jacob Watson. (1880 Sull Co census shows a David Thurlow aged 13 adopted by J. G. Watson, Duncan Twp--??)
1872-1888 HISTORY: Emmett Thurlo: "...1880 census no wife is listed, but probably was the widow Martin (no information). Araminta must have died after Silas born in 1872. David md widow Martin and Mary Belle was born in 1877. The widow Martin has 3 boys (or girls) and the two families apparently fought all the time. She reportedly took her children and left David and Mary Belle and his boys. David reportedly took Mary Belle to a relative for a short period before taking her to Hiram Tipton family near Regar, MO, where she lived until 1888. He then apparently took his sons and went to Duncan, Ok about 1882-3 and lived until 1888 and took Mary Belle back to Duncan with him..."

1895-97 HISTORY: Emmett Thurlo: "... He probably lived in the Duncan area in a half-dugout until 1896-97 (speculation of Emmett's part because: 1. David stayed close to at least one his sons. 2. David Oscar md 1888 and David lived with them for awhile. 3. Silas md abt 1895 and moved to Arapaho, OK. 4. Edward was killed in Jan-Feb 1896 in Duncan and 5. Inis (Ina) had md 1887 and Mary
Belle 1893. The next possible location was a report from David Oscar's (DOT) dau of an old man living with them in Fort Thomas, AZ..."
