"Penticton is a little city of about 12,000 population at about 50 miles due north of the international boundary, situated between 2 beautiful lakes, Okanagon and Shala Lake, it is known as the city of peaches and beaches. It has 2 principal industries - fruit growing and tourist trade, there are about 40 first class motels here also good hotels."
