1915 Newspaper Clipping- Death of Alfred Baillet Brooklyn, Kings, New York Monday, 28 Jun 1915 Brooklyn Citizen newspaper, page 2 Storm Causes Death of Boys One Drowned; Another Dies After Rescue Alfred Baillet, 14 years old, of No. 345 Fifty-second street, was drowned off Fifty-seventh street... Baillet was one of the victims of the storm on the bay. He was out in a rowboat with two other lads of his own age about 5 o'clock last evening when a squall came up, and this, combined with the swell from a passing motor boat launch, overturned the boat throwing the three lads into the water. Two of the boys were rescued. Before help could reach Baillet he had disappeared, and his body was not found until late last night by Patrolman Duffy of Harbor A sound. | ||
