    • Hus. Aert Theunisse Lanen Van Pelt built a house for his bride at New Utrecht, Kings, L.I. N.Y.in 1686. Petrus the youngest son Inherited the house his father built. NYG&B Vol. 87 p. 135-36.
      Aert took oath of allegiance as a native in 1687. "A copy taken from the oregenell of the family of Art Vanpelt who lived in King County in Neueitroght and in Yorck government......" During theRevolution the house was used by Gen. George Washington. A door plaque commemorated the use of the home & the aid the Van Pelt family gave to American Independence."
      In 1729 he said "Nellie and I have lived together 43 yrs &4 mos."
