      NOTES: Aunt Norma-3 March 2001: "Uncle Jack went so quickly, used a broom to stabilize himself. Asked if he wanted a walker-not want, he liked the broom. Had hospice come in. Walked into the bathroom, couldn't get up, couldn't use the walker. Rick was here and got him up. I put the walker away. He was happy with a wheel chair. [James David]-Dad called Sunday. Wanted to know what going on. Dad had 2 Dr appointments - come after that... says he loves Lorrie so much, so grateful for all she does - takes me here, takes me there, everywhere, so good to me. Takes eye drops-get all over his face..."

      John Ivy Hallmark died peacefully at his Salt Lake City home March 2, 2001. He was born to Mary Luella Grow and Ivy Aubra Hallmark Oct. 7, 1918 in Telocaset, OR. He loved doing missionary work and will always be remembered for his knowledge of the scriptures. He married Bernice Parsons and later divorced.
      He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Norma Thomson; children, Jan Piro, Byron and Joan Allred, Judy Hallmark, Dave and Jeanne Hallmark, John Hallmark, Jim and Shauna Hallmark, Rick and Tina Hallmark, Linda and Derek Snow; 26 granchildren, 6 great grandchildren; brothers, Dave and Ron Hallmark; and sister, Norma Hawkins.
      Services will be 1 pm Tues March 6, 2001 at the Bennion Heights 3rd Ward, 5775 S. 2700 W. Friends may call at the Valley View Funeral Home, 4335 W 4100 S, Mon. 6-8 p.ml and Tues, one hour prior to services at the ward. Interment, Granite Cemetery. Funeral directors, Evans & Early Mortuary.
