William Holling - William Ralph Holling JR., 64, died of leukemia July 2, 2007, at home in La Center. Holling was born Feb 23, 1943, in Portland, grew up in Vancouver and graduated from Fort Vancouver High School He attended Clark College and earned a degreee in business administration fronm Washington State University.
Holling lived in Portland, Vancouver and Battle Ground, before moving to LaCenter in the early 1980s. Holling worked as an accountant for Multnomah County in Oregon. He also worked as a driver for Union Oil and owned a Union 76 service station. He raised cattle and invested in real estate. Holling enjoyed farming, cattle, nature and fishing. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Holling was preceded in death by his father, William R. Holling. Survivors include widow Pat, at home in LaCenter, sons Eric Holling of Bothell, William "Scott" Holling of Vancouver, and Andrew Holling and Christopher Holling, both of LaCenter, brothers Mark Holling of Vancouver and Ronald Holling of Virginia, mother Lauraine Holling of Vancouver, and two grandchildren.
Burial was at Mt. View Cemetery, LaCenter, with Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, Vancouver, in charge of arrangements.

Funeral notice: William R Holling - A funeral will be at 11:30 am Friday, July 6, 2007, in the Battle Ground, Wash., chapel of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints for William R Holling, who died July 2 of leukemia at age 64.
Mr Holling was born Feb. 23, 1943, in Portland and raised in Vancouver. He graduated from Ft. Vancouver High School and served in the Oregon National Guard. He was a cattle farmer in LaCenter for about the past 20 years. In 1969, he married Patricia Bruce.
Surviviors include his wife; sons, Eric, Scott, Andrew and Christopher; mother, Lauraine; brothers, Ron and Mark; and two grandchildren. Arrangements by Memorial Gardens.
