I, Ulrich Michael of Mifflin Twp, Yoeman, make this my last Will & Testament, hereby revoking and making void all former wills by me at any time heretofore made & first I direct that my body be decently interred in the burying ground at Mifflinville & that my funeral be conducted in a manner corresponding with my situation in life & as to this worldly state as it hath pleased God to entrust me with, I dispose of the same as follows:
1-I direct that all funeral expenses be pd as soon after my decease as possible out of 1st money that shall come into the hands of my Executor from any portion of my estate, real or personal. Also I direct that fair valuation in apprisement be made by 2 judicious neighbors for my sd estate, including my household furniture, & after being signed with their names, that copy of same shall be given by them to my executor. Also I direct that my personal property be sold by public auction with credit as is usual in like cases.
2-...unto heirs of my eldest son, Adam Michael, sum of $600, portion coming to heirs of Mary Gensn to be retained by my Executor till they respectively attain age of 21yrs, money to be put out in interest.
3-...unto my son Jacob Michael the sum of $600.
4-...unto my son Peter Michael & after his decease, to his heirs, the tract of land whereon the sd Peter now resides to be in lieu of dower in full as my be seen in articles.
5-...unto my son John Michael..$600.
6-...unto the heirs of my dau Eve Nungesser $600.
7-...unto my dau Mary Nungesser..$600, $333 to be deducted out of $600, which will leave a balance remaining to her of $267, the above deduction is for bk acct which I hold against her husband.
8-...unto my dau Elizabeth Klingaman $600, the last above dowery to be paid out of the first money that may come into the hands of my Execetor.
9-...unto the heirs of Peter J Lantz, that is, to John & Mary Elizabeth Lantz, a note which I hold against the same Peter J Lantz of $50. I will that Peter J Lantz keep the money until Apr 1 AD 1859 with interest, then the money to be collected by my exec & put in interest again frm yr to yr until they respectively attain age of 21, then the money to be divided, share & share alike.
10-I will that no interest be collected frm the foregoing heirs in bond, notes...prior to my decease.
11-...unto my sons Jacob, John & heirs of Adam & to my daus Mary Nungessor, Elizabeth Klingaman & heirs of Eve Nungessor the residue of my estate to be equally divided, share & share alike among 6 last above named heirs, & I make & ordain my beloved son John Michael Executor of this my last Will & Test in which svc he is to receive $50.

Twp Histories: Bethlehem created following partition pres Bucks Co Mark 1746. 1766 Taxables Nicholas Michael. Twp laid out within its limits the present Twp of Bethlehem and Upper/Lower Nazareth. The rest was barren land and considered worthless. Immediately after the Walking Purchase Sep 1737, land speculators residing in Philadelphia located some of these land warrants along the Mosroasy (?) Creek & Ranny's Run - Moravians arrived in Bethlehem 1740 - purchased Naz tract 1743 - 5000 acres & 1000 acres at Bethlehem. During Indian Wars people in country fled to town of Bethlehem & Nazareth for protection - no rcd of murder in twp.
