1881 LAND: MO,Sullivan Co: Circuit Court Judgment Partition and order of sale of land 5 Apr 1881:
Plaintiffs: Joseph Samuel Fields; Andrew J Fields; Mary E & Obadiah Broyles; Virginia B Fields; John L Fields, minor by guardian Jacob Clem; Paterson F Fields and Edward E Fields, minors by guardian Joseph S. Fields; Alta Fields; Mahala C Fields and Columbus A Fields, minors by guardian Lucinda Fields; and Lucinda Fields for herself.
Trial - after hearing evidence, plaintiffs are owners - fee simple of the land described in plaintiff's petition towit: NW Qtr Sec 17 and So half SW Qtr and NW Qtr of SW Qtr and NW Qtr of SW Qtr and 28 acres off east side of SW Qtr of NW Qtr of Sec 8 Twp 61 Range 20 and 18 acres off north side of SE Qtr of NE Qtr of Sec 7 Twp 61 Range 20 and also the following property towit: undivided half of 12 acres off West side of SW Qtr of NW Qtr of Sec 8 Twp 61 Range 20 on which is sutuate a water power, saw and grist mill, commonly known as Fields Mill and the court finds above (all) each entitled to tenth part of following described lands towit: South half of SW Qtr and NW Qtr of SW Qtr and 28 acres off east side of SW Qtr of NW Qtr Sec 8 & 18 acres off north side of SE Qtr of NE Qtr of Sec 7 and undivided half of 12 acres of west side of SW Qtr of NW Qtr of Sec 8 upon which said 12 acres tract is situate standing and being a water power, saw and grist mill, all in Twp 61 Range 20 in Sullivan Co MO. The following real estate to wit: NW Qtr of Sec 17 in Twp 61 Range 20, duly set out and administered to Lucinda Fields, widow of Francis M Fields, dec'd, as a homestead during her natural life. Said land cannot be divided in kind among the parties in interest without great detrement and injury to their interest. Therefore ordered that land except that given to widow be sold at public vender by Sheriff: half cash in hand, balance in 1 year at 2% interest divided among parties according to their respective interest as above set forth.
