  		1854 Mortage for William Chapman Sen and Children 16 August 1854, Spartanburg County, South Carolina By: Louisa Nichols To: William Chapman Sen and William H Chapman Wm Chapman Sr and Wm H Chapman were security to a bond of $300 paid by Louisa. The illegitimate child of Louisa will be supported. Louisa grants these men the following tract of land: 30 acres, lying in Bear Creek. This is the same land deeded to Louisa Nicholls by Wm Chapman Sr on 3 February 1854. If Wm Sr and Wm H Chapman shall ever have to pay part of the bond, then this deed will remain in full effect. But if they are never needed to pay the bond, then this deed will be null and void.
