Genealogy chart of Ellis Bloom gave name as Rebecca Hash
LDS Family Hist Center, PAF files give a family group sheet for samuel Bloom and Anna Maria dunkelberger who had a child, Samuel Bloom, Jr birth date of 1791 instead of 1804Northumberland County information (Meiser & Meiser) for Samuel Bloom, Jr gives 1791 birth date and dying 1871 in Akron, Ohio. Children of Samuel Bloom are listed as Samuel (1791), John(1793), Daniel (1798), William (1802-1805), Catherine (1807), Jacob (1809), Magdalena (1811), Elizabeth (1813), Heinrich (1815)Genealogical & Biographical Annals of Northumberland County, 1911, gives children of Samuel Bloom & Magdalena Dunkelberger as John (no date), Daniel (1798), William (1802), Samuel (no date), Jacob (no date), Henry (no date), Catherine (no date), Elizabeth (1813). If order is correct, 1804 would be reasonable datefor Samuel Jr birth.Personal notes of Florence Thilly (Northumberland Hist Soc) give wife as Magdalena Dunkelberger and Samuel Bloom Jr birthdate 1804.Bloom family bible gives Samuel Bloom Jr birthdate as 1804 with marriage to Mary Campbell.According to Northumberland Co Hist Soc (Letter, Jack R Pensyl, Dec 17, 1999) Augustaville Zion Lutheran Church records start 1812, Church is older, but no baptism records are available."The Dunkelberger Family in America", Shirley Turner, 1980, estimates birthdate of Samuel Bloom, Jr as about 1791 with no additional information. This date is also given in Meissner & Meissner.I had suggested that there may be a confusion of two different Samuel Blooms. Pensyl (op cit) stated that Samuel Bloom Sr had no sibling brothers so could not have had a cousin Samuel (This contradicts information from JW Love)Will of Samuel Bloom Sr names ten children (A daughter, Mary, was not included in either Biographical Annals or Messner & Meissner). The order of naming children accords with such dates as are given in the Biographical Annals and I assume is the correct order of birth. If this is the case, the 1804 birth date for Samuel, Jr would appear to be correct. Also Samuel received $200 from his father to be set against his share of the estate and several others received land to offset their share of the estate. My evaluation of the aove is that the 1804 birthdate for Samuel Jr is correct. I consider the question closed.occupation: farmer, various county offices, justice of the peace,
