Life sketch of John Moody, migration in 1633, first residence: Roxbury, then removes to Hartford,Conn.
John Moody came to Roxbury, Mass., in 1633 and about seven years later settled in Hartford with the small colony that had made the original settlement there a few years earlier under the leadership of Rev. Samuel Hooker. John had but one son Samuel (that survived from infancy) , so his descendants do not comprise as large group as the descendants of William of Newbury.(Moody Family,His't Notes p.1)
