Married Catherine Steel in 1866. Two boys , one died young, Isaac Root of Harrisburg, ID. He crossed the plains b y wagon in 1882. His first wife died 29 jan 1887. In 1889 he married Mr s. Fannie Hall. He ws Methodist adn member of the Order of the Odd Fello ws.
