  1845 (ae 5 in 1850) Along with his brothers, Hudson and Malinda were deeded 286 acres of land on Bull Pasture Mountain by his parents (for which he paid $1.00), and signed the bill of sale when the land was sold to Samuel C. Eagle. On 1/10/1880 Hudson signed the paper which deeded his share of his fathers land on Shaw's Fork to his brother, John E. Armstrong. (from the files of Janice Armstrong Nicholas. The marriage license gives Malinda's age as 19 and Hudson's age as 33. Also her father had to give his written consent, indicating that she was a minor. This would indicate she was born around 1847.JHA2003.
