  Obituary for Elizabeth Briggs Welch, Salt Lake Daily Telegraph: 16 January 1867, page 3 OBITUARY--Died, at the residence of her son, bro. John Welch, in Willard City, Box Elder County, sister Elizabeth Welch, aged 67 years. Deceased was baptized near Chesterfield, Derbyshire, England, in 1841, emigrated to Nauvoo in 1842, accompanied the Saints to Nauvoo in 1842, accompanied the Saints to Council Bluffs in the exodus of 1846, and arrived in Zion in 1852. Sister Welch was a member of the Council of Health, a strong advocate of truth, a firm supporter of the authorities and a true saint from first to last.
