  MARRIAGE: "Ancestry of Two Great Grandmothers, Esther (Root) Poole, Lois (Sprague) Mears", compiled by Winifred Lovering Holman, S.B., 1938, copy at the NEHGS pg. 224: Named in husband's will dated 27 Mar 1740 - D0007 Found no Margaret Root in this time period in a search of the NEHGS online databases on 8 Sep 2009. Could have been married to a Root and widowed. There was a Timothy Root died 1713, Farmington, CT, probated Aug 1713 which mentions widow Margaret. However, a further record in 1718 on that probate lists her as Margaret Rew, alias Root, wife of John Rew. Will of Asahel Strong of Farmington, CT dated 28 Jun 1739, probated 31 Dec 1739 mentions daughter Margaret Root, alias Strong. This is a possibility, although if she is the right one, she would have had to marry Samuel Hutchinson between June 1739 and the time of Samuel's will in March 1740.
