Two brothers, Samuel and John Hutchinson, moved from Northampton, Mass., to Lebanon, Conn. Samuel Hutchinson died at Lebanon, 17 April 1757 in his 91st year "almost completed." His will, dated 7 March 1740, proved 10 Jan. 1759, named wife Margaret, mentioning agreement at marriage; land in Northampton; sons, Samuel, Eleazer, and Stephen; daughters Sarah wife of Josiah Dewey (they gave receipt, dated Lebanon), Experience wife of Joshua Fuller, (they gave receipt, dated Lebanon), Martha Hutchinson (Solomon Curtis and Martha Curtis of Lebanon gave receipt), Hannah wife of Josiah Webster (she gave receipt, dated Lebanon) and Jemima Hutchinson (no receipt in file). Since Jeremiah is not mentioned in the will it is presumed he died prior to the date of the will, likely unmarried, as no provision is made for his heirs.
