- Capt. Edmund Goodenow was born about 1611 in Donhead, St. Andrew, Wiltshire, England. He was the son of Thomas Goodenow and Ursula unknown. Edmund, married Ann unknown, in England. In 1636, while a churchwarden, was cited for not attending the parish church. He was cited again in February 1637 in Shaftsbury. Capt. Edmund Goodenow and Ann unknown emigrated in 1638 from Donhead, St. Andrew, Wiltshire, England, on board the Confidence out of Southampton. Capt. Edmund Goodenow died on Tuesday, 6 April 1688 in Sudbury, Middlesex County, Massachusetts.
