1944 HIST: Nov 2002 email from Connie Clapier, pg 30: "Walter moved to Portland, Oregon to work in the shipyards during WWII and never returned to his family. Cora moved her family to Prairie City, Oregon in 1944 and remained there until her death."

NOTES: It looks to me, Pam Hallmark Wagner, that Cora, who wrote her own bit in the back of the
"Hist of the Eads Family," by Rev George R Eads, gave a copy to Mary Gray Marks. In the front of the booklet is "To Mary Marks" in the same handwriting as Cora's addition in the back of the book, pg 11. I numbered the pages of the book to help find the sources I've shown.

mothers people the Banks family. My grandfather's name was Hilkiah, & his father's Thomas. Among his brothers & sisters we find the names of Simon, Reziah, Tirzah, Jabes, Rhoda. He gave the following Bible names to his children: Naomi, Jesse, Samuel, Hilkiah (Preston), Martha Jane, my mother, and Mary.
A number of Ministers of the Gospel are found in both branches of our family tree... The Banks family have such ministers, Louis Albert Banks, D.D., and the Sherrod Brothers, Arthur, Wm, & Whitfield, who were United Brethren ministers..."
