    Browning MO. Later had a millinery & dressmaking shop in Browning.
    First yr had farm nr Browning with Wm's bro Geo. Cont'd to teach school. 1st
    child bn-Coila Anice.
    1884-went to Barbar Co KS with his parents. Filed claims 10 mi no of
    Medicine Lodge, nr Isabel. Comora wrote parents "the cntry is beautiful & like
    it better than expected to when I left MO."
    1884,fall: lived Main & Lincoln Ave,where opened millinery & dressmaking
    shop. Wm "freighted" goods with team and wagon from rr to various inland towns.
    1887-sold claim & moved to Medicine Lodge where built home & lived till dd.
    6 other children bn here.
    1893-left temporarily for Oklahoma Cherokee Strip where staked claim 51/2 mi
    se of Alva where lived until 1898. Comora & children made many trips to
    Medicine Lodge-45 miles. Or 1st SS in Alva.
    M/L had good library, opera house, churches, bands & speakers on holidays.

    She mbr Marth Vail DAR, Eastern Star. Contributed much to community.
    When husb suddenly dd 8 Jun 1919, opened hemstitching & dress goods shop in

    quilts with elec sewing mach. Confined to wheelchair & bed 16 mos until dd 23
    Mar 1945, bur by husb & son Minnis Ayers Martin in fam lot, Highland Cem.
