June 1991: Tried calling Browning paper-no paper. Given city hall no. and tried calling many times-no answer: 1 619 946 4215. Also tried to reach any Bales or Nickells in Fairbury, Nebraska...Ron Nickells (or Bales) 729-2776. Others: Lewis, Sylvester.
"Descendants.." says Iola spent her entire life in the Browning,Missouri area. She and her husband both worked in the office of Browning's paper, the Leader Record, which was owned by husband's parents. In 1936 they became the owners of the Leader Record and operated it until ill health forced
them to close the doors.
