On January 27, 1846, Andrew Lee Allen went to the Nauvoo Temple and there received his endowments with his wife Clarinda Knapp. The Nauvoo Temple Endowment Register, which is a complete record of all initiatory and endow­ments done in the Nauvoo Temple, records Andrew's birth ­date as November 27, 1794 (p. 207). It also states he was born in Wakefield, New Hamp­shire.
