Impressive Funeral Services at Paradise - On Friday January 29, the funeral services over the remains of W. H. Thomas were held at 1 o'clock in Paradise. A large procession of vehicles containing sorrowing friends and relatives under the direction of undertaker Berthel Thompson followed the remains to the meeting house, where the services were held. The choir sang, "Softly Beams the Sacred Dawning," prayer was offered by Bro. Geo. Davis of Avon. Choir sang, "Sometime We'll Understand."
Bro. Wm. Bishop said he has known the deceased since childhood and knew him to be a kind-hearted, charitable and congenial man. Always remembered the poor and needy. Wm. Mitton also knew Bro. Thomas said he was a man of honesty and integrety, felt sure he had worked out his own salvation.
A male quartet from Hyrum consisting of Alfred and Rastus Pertersen, Quil Anderson and Bert Thompson then sang "Life Dreams O'er."
Bro. Alma Mathews of Providence who labored as a missionary for two years at Portland, Ore., where the Thomas' now reside offered many consoling remarks to the bereaved family. Other words of consolation were offered by Bros. Geo. E. Olsen, Jas. R Thomas and Bp. P. O. Hansen. The choir sang "Oh Grave Where is thy Victory." Prayer was offered by J J Facer of Hyrum.
Friends and relatives from all over Cache Valley attended the funeral and the floral gifts were many and beautiful, which went to show the esteem and respect his friends, still held for him. At the cemetery the male quartet sang another beautiful selection and Bro. Evan Jones dedicated the grave.
Mr. Thomas was 55 years old and leaves a wife and ten children, a father and many brothers and sisters to mourn his early departure.

Mr. William H. Thomas, whose serious illness was mentioned a few days ago in the Journal passed away on Saturday afternoon at Paradise. The funeral services will be held at Paradise at one O'clock on Friday.
Mr.Thomas was born in Neyland, Pembrokeshire, Wales on April 22, 1860. He came to Utah with his parents in 1862 and they located in Paradise. He was married in 1884 to Rosara Obray, and nine children were born to them. All are living.
Eight years ago he had his feet frozen and parts of them had to be amputated. Stomach trouble was the immediate cause ofhis death.
