Bishop James Ward's LDS Ward named as the "Missionary Ward" In about 1900, when James Ward served as bishop in the North Ogden Ward in Utah, his was was so successful in sending out missionaires it became known as the "Missionary Ward". Ward is serving as a missionary for the L.D.S church. James Ward served as Patriarch for 15 years. He gave 457 blessings while patriarch. Member of the Relief Society under the direction of Mrs. Myrtle Barker, Flora Deamer and Harriet Spackman assembled a wide display of useful articles at the funeral. | ||

Patriarch James Ward and other Members of the Spackman Family suffer Health Problems James Ward is reported as improving from a general physical weakness incident to his age of 87. Mrs. Elizabeth Spackman was called to Salt Lake because her son, David Henry had to have an operation for appendicitis.
