Note: This record narrows down the marriage date of James and Nancy Ann to prior to Oct 1807. Note: The will of Thomas Colson/Coulson was probated on 2 July 1805 in Spotsylvania Co., VA wherein he leaves portions of his vast estate, land holdings and slaves to many people, including a small portion to “the children of Mary Berry.” The mother of Nancy Ann Berry, wife of James Houston, was Mary Hampton Berry.
