3 Time World Champion Barney Ross Barney Ross was a world champion in three weight divisions retiring with a record of 72 wins, 4 losses, 3 draws and 2 no decisions (Newspaper Decisions: 2-0-0), with 22 wins by knockout. He as never knocked out in 81 bouts. Barney was ranked #21 on Ring Magazine's list of the 80 Best Fighters of the Last 80 Years. Starling fought this man to a draw during their time in service together. Although Barney was 10 years older than Starling this achievement adds to the legend. |
